Paris, early 1960s. The Saint Germain neighbourhood lived to the rhythm of sleepless nights in jazz clubs and artistic encounters. People discussed the world, danced and laughed in a warm atmosphere that was as lively as it was elegant... Orphéon was one of those joyfully effervescent bars where the three founders of Diptyque liked to meet up as neighbours. A tribute to this era of creative friendships, the Orphéon eau de parfum is now its olfactory portrait. A freeze frame when wisps of tobacco mingled with the powdery scent of make-up, lingering on the weathered wood. At the heart of the composition, we find the atmosphere of this unforgettable place through the warmth of tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the liveliness of juniper berries. Today, the only remaining vestige of the bar is a blue faceted column at the back of the shop at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain. For the festive season, the bottle is embellished with an oval in gold tones.
