Aurélien Guichard, perfumer and founder of MATIERE PREMIERE, has captured the first stage of the transformation of Australian sandalwood into a fragrant essence in a candle, when steam comes into contact with the heart of the freshly powdered wood. The result is a woody, creamy and enveloping scent. The candle, made from 95% natural wax, is poured into a Bohemian crystal glass, flame-polished and hand-lacquered. Its wick is made from cotton.
