The light and spicy top notes of ginger, bergamot, mandarin, angelica root and nutmeg delicately lead into the sensual intensity of the heart notes - a leathery accord, vetiver, incense, a wave of amber and a musk that vibrates with the skin. It's a fragrance that plays with the outdated codes of masculinity while tapping into their earthy strength to create a beautiful and bewitching moment.

A fragrance by Maurice Roucel: Maurice Roucel joined the house of Chanel as a chemist in 1973, where he learned perfumery under the legendary Henri Robert. Endowed with a humility and a thirst for learning that has never left him, he has accumulated immense know-how over the course of his trials. His style is characterised by a frank writing and an opulent sensuality, due to his love of musk, amber and white flowers. His very strong personality has always led him to disregard fashions and so-called market trends. The composition of Musc Ravageur in 1999 is proof of this this fragrance, which went totally against the grain when it was released in 2000, caused a scandal. It is now recognised as a kind of Sistine Chapel of sweet amber fragrances.
